
Today I’m talking to Susan Thomas, the Vice President of Eastern Canada for InvIs Mortgage Intelligence. Susan is passionate about health and fitness and is certified as a level 1 CrossFit trainer. She has overcome her fair share of obstacles in her life, and she’s excited to share her journey on the show today.
Susan shares with us how she battled a mysterious illness for years until finally getting a diagnosis and what she would tell others dealing with a chronic health issues. She also dives into her career progression and how she ended up in the mortgage industry. She has a big list of tasks to get through each day, and she uses several time management skills to get things done. We learn what it means to be “ruthless” with your time and why it’s important.
One foundation of a successful career is the ability to build strong relationships with others. There are strategies you can implement for this, and Susan shares her number one tip. Networking is important in any industry, and the ability to listen actively and ask the right questions can go a long way.
Susan shares the time management techniques she finds to be the most successful. Sometimes it makes sense to delegate certain tasks, for example, house cleaning.
